The XFEC type insertable electromagnetic flow sensor (hereinafter referred to as the sensor) and the XFEC type electromagnetic flow converter (hereinafter referred to as the converter) are combined to form the XFEC type insertable electromagnetic flow meter (hereinafter referred to as the flow meter), which is used to measure the volumetric flow rate of various conductive liquids in pipelines.
The sensor has the following characteristics:
◆ The sensor has no moving parts, a simple structure, and reliable operation.
◆ The insertable structure allows for convenient installation and removal without interrupting the flow under low pressure or pressurized conditions. Therefore, it is very suitable for fluid measurement in existing pipelines and facilitates instrument maintenance and repair.
◆ The measurement accuracy is not affected by changes in physical parameters such as temperature, pressure, density, viscosity, and conductivity (as long as the conductivity is greater than 5µs/cm) of the measured medium.
◆ The sensor has almost no pressure loss and extremely low energy consumption.
◆ It has lower manufacturing and installation costs than general electromagnetic flow meters. It is particularly suitable for flow measurement in large and medium-diameter pipelines.
◆ It adopts advanced low-frequency square wave excitation. The zero point is stable, the anti-interference ability is strong, and the operation is reliable.
◆ The flow measurement range is large. The full-scale flow velocity in the measured pipeline can be arbitrarily set from 1m/s to 10m/s, and the output signal is linearly related to the flow rate.
◆ The flow meter not only has 0~10mA DC or 4~20mA DC standard current output, but also 1~5kHz frequency output.
Due to the series of advantages of the flow meter (sensor) mentioned above, it has been widely used in chemical, chemical fiber, metallurgy, fertilizer, papermaking, water supply and drainage, sewage treatment and other industrial sectors, as well as in agricultural irrigation water metering for conductive liquid flow measurement and automatic control of production processes.
3. Product Type and Composition
The product type is insertable. The sensor is connected to the pipeline via a mounting base, ball valve, compression nut, and positioning screw. The sensor comes in two structural types: measuring tube type and planar electrode type.
The measuring tube type sensor is suitable for measuring clean media; the planar electrode type is suitable for measuring liquid flow containing other impurities.
