Do you know how to use electromagnetic flowmeter correctly?
Electromagnetic flowmeters have been popular since their appearance, but do you know how to use them correctly? In order to avoid some things that may cause damage to some functions during operation, everyone must follow the instructions and pay attention to some details. Today we will introduce the use of electromagnetic flowmeters.
General matters that should be paid attention to when using electromagnetic flowmeters
First of all, the use of electromagnetic flowmeters should be kept away from magnetic materials and those strong electromagnetic field equipment as much as possible, because it is very susceptible to magnetic field interference. Only in this way can the equipment operate normally.
Electromagnetic flowmeters also have high requirements for the environment and temperature. When installing, you need to choose a dry and ventilated place with a temperature between 20 degrees and 65 degrees. The humidity in the air should be below 80%, so that the flowmeter can be more easily turned instantly and the life may be longer. The electromagnetic flowmeter is the same as other flowmeters in terms of use and maintenance. Paying attention to the situation when using it can greatly reduce the failure behavior of the electromagnetic flowmeter.
1. Keep the cable connector clean and dry, waterproof and moisture-proof. Be sure to cover the flow meter and the cable head covers in time after each use.
2. Do not connect the flow meter during circulation to avoid sharp and hard rock chips in the circulating fluid from eroding and damaging the flow meter lining, affecting the measurement accuracy.
3. Electromagnetic flowmeter transmitters cannot be used interchangeably.
4. Ensure that the electromagnetic flowmeter lining cannot be scratched or stabbed by hard objects, which will damage its finish.
5. After each construction and use, the flow meter lining and the reducer short-circuit lining must be cleaned with clean water (without oil) in time (use a water gun or soft cloth to clean the lining). It is strictly forbidden for the flow meter lining to contact various oil substances to pollute the measuring electrode and damage the insulating lining.
6. If the flow jump occurs at the moment of replacing the slurry and starting the pump, the accumulated liquid volume should be "cleared" in time to eliminate the measurement error caused by the signal jump.
7. The electromagnetic flow meter transmitter (with display device) must be kept clean and must be placed indoors for use. It must be waterproof, moisture-proof, vibration-proof and collision-proof. All cables must be kept clean.
8. The 220V AC cable head and socket of the electromagnetic flow meter must not be damp or water-influent; when powered on, do not connect or unplug the wires with wet hands to prevent the risk of electric shock.
9. After each slurry replacement metering, fill in the construction date, construction well number, designed slurry replacement volume, and flowmeter cumulative volume data on the flowmeter operation record form.
10. The insulating material on the inner wall of the electromagnetic flowmeter must not come into contact with oily substances, acids, and alkaline substances to avoid aging of the insulating material, which may cause the flowmeter to deteriorate in performance, be damaged, or become scrapped.
11. When installing, disassembling, transporting, or storing the flowmeter, it is strictly forbidden to throw it from the vehicle or drop it on the ground to prevent the internal precision coil from being deformed or broken due to strong vibration, thereby damaging the flowmeter.
12. Strictly implement the equipment departure and return inspection system. The flowmeter must be powered on to check the working condition before and after each use: it must be powered on for inspection before departure, and it must be powered on for inspection after returning to the base for cleaning and maintenance, and inspection records must be kept.
The above are the questions about electromagnetic flowmeters that I have sorted out for you. I hope it can help you. Please read the instructions carefully before operation and follow the product introduction instructions.
